Privacy Policy for Easy MD

Effective date: September 1, 2026

Easy MD, provided by Avocado Lab, reads Markdown files from folders you choose on your device. The app does not collect personal data, create user accounts, run analytics, or show advertising.

Files you choose

Easy MD can access a folder only after you select it through Apple's system document picker. The app uses that access to show folders and read Markdown documents. It does not create, edit, rename, move, or delete your files.

Your document contents, file paths, and reading history are not sent to us.

Information stored on your device

The app saves a secure folder permission, your last folder location, and your preferred file sort order on your device. This information is used only to restore the app between sessions. You can choose a different starting folder from the app at any time.

This information stays on your device until you replace it by choosing a different folder or remove it by deleting the app. Because Avocado Lab does not receive this information, there is no server-side account or personal data record for us to delete.

External links and images

A Markdown document may contain a link to a website or an image hosted on an HTTPS server. If you open a web link, iOS passes it to the appropriate system app. If a document contains a remote image, your device may contact that image host to load it. That host may receive standard network information such as your IP address. Easy MD does not control the privacy practices of external websites or image hosts.

Data sharing and tracking

We do not sell or share personal data. The app does not track you across apps or websites.

Easy MD does not include advertising or analytics SDKs. Third-party software used to render Markdown runs inside the app and is not used by Avocado Lab to collect data.

Children's privacy

Easy MD does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users.

Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices change, this policy will be updated before the change is released. The effective date at the top of this page will show when the latest version took effect.
